Okay family! We are supposed to be using this to keep each other updated and together! I am just as guilty as anyone, but i wanted to post the lyrics of this song that my chorale sang at our Christmas concerts this year. It comes with a short story.
I had been feeling really anxious and not really depressed, but overwhelmed by the direction I felt society taking. The constant poor choices of our current government, combined with our family dinner time discussions about politics had really just given me no hope for the future of my children and the kind of world that they were going to be adults in. I found myself almost obsessing over this feeling of the end of the world was coming sooner than any of us expected.
And then my choir began to prepare this song for our concert. At first I was focused on just learning the notes and music, and then one day in my car I really listened and I knew that no matter what happens, God is in control. He will not let this country fail because it is a choice nation. It is a light of freedom and peace for all nations. This song reminded me that God is our father and will not let us fail and that Jesus is our Savior and was born and died for all of us. I just wanted you all to be able to hear these words because of thier powerful effect on me and my life. I have nothing but joy and hope in this Chirstmas season and I love you all!!!
